Nebenan.de is looking to fill two positions in its tech team:
nebenan.de is a free local online service to strengthen neighborhoods: neighbors can
connect to exchange recommendations, things, help and news.
We are a fast growing social business, currently focussing to roll out our service to all bigger
cities across Germany. The founding team of nebenan comes with a lot of experience in
building successful digital companies.
After developing our web based application in a „mobile first“ approach during the first 8
months we now have a solid feature set and plan to go native.
Therefore we are looking for two technical experts to lead our mobile app development, each
bringing in experience and focus with one of the platforms.

Your nebenan Team
- To build a native iOS or Android App of our nebenan service from scratch
- You will get the following highly professional support:
- Product team (Product Owner, concept, wireframing, graphics, QA)
- Backend Dev team
- Web-Frontend team happy to support app dev
- Solid API based backend architecture
- Well designed and implemented mobile web version of nebenan
- You plan and execute our development and deployment cycles, including publishing to Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- 4+ years of demonstrated experience building, testing and shipping software products for the desired platform
- Knowledge of modern best practices for development on your platform
- Self driven without the need to get micromanaged
- Strong focus on UI and willing to communicate closely with our UI team
- You speak English
- Modest and open for strange ideas while being confident enough to push back if needed
- Bonus: deep knowledge/background in any different tech domain
- Bonus: experience with React Native
- Bonus: you also speak German
